How to book a learner's licence test online

Updated 2026-10-31 · Unofficial guide · Always confirm details with gov.za / your DLTC

You can book a learner's licence test online through the official NaTIS portal (online.natis.gov.za) or in person at a Driving Licence Testing Centre (DLTC). Online availability depends on your province and centre.

Booking online

  1. Go to online.natis.gov.za (official site only).
  2. Register with your ID number and contact details.
  3. Choose learner's licence, your vehicle code and a testing centre.
  4. Pick a date and pay the booking fee online if your centre allows it.

Booking in person

Visit your DLTC with your documents. Some centres require an eye test and fingerprint/photo capture during booking.

Avoid touts

Never pay anyone who claims to "guarantee" a slot or a pass. Use only official channels.
